Antioxidant Activity of Panax ginseng to Regulate ROS in Various Chronic Diseases

نویسندگان

چکیده

Reactive oxygen species (ROS)-the byproduct of regular cell activity formed by various cellular components—play a significant role in pathological and physiological conditions. Alternatively, antioxidants are compounds that reduce or scavenge reactive cells. An asymmetry between the antioxidant defense system ROS from intracellular extracellular sources cause chronic diseases such as cancer, inflammation, tumorigenesis, cardiovascular neurogenerative diseases. However, Panax ginseng its secondary metabolites (known ginsenosides, phenolic compounds, peptides, acid polysaccharides, polyacetylene, alkaloids) well-recognized many vitro vivo experiments which show beneficial regulating these There extensive evidences P. can destroy cancer cells specifically increasing oxidative stress through generation without significantly harming normal Additionally, numerous studies have examined derivatives on ROS-mediated signaling pathways discussed herein. This review summarizes potential several diseases, gives updated research evidence with related mechanisms future possibilities nano-formulated other polyphenols.

Ginseng Panax ginseng

The ontogeny of perennial polycarpic herb Panax ginseng C.A. Mey. (Araliaceae) under plantation conditions was described. Three periods (latent, pregenerative, and generative) and eight age stages have been identified in the ontogeny of cultivated P. ginseng. The generative period of this species is the longest ontogenetic period, which determines the timing of its cultivation in plantations. D...

Implications of red Panax ginseng in oxidative stress associated chronic diseases

The steaming process of Panax ginseng has been reported to increase its major known bioactive components, ginsenosides, and, therefore, its biological properties as compared to regular Panax ginseng. Biological functions of red Panax ginseng attenuating pro-oxidant environments associated with chronic diseases are of particular interest, since oxidative stress can be a key contributor to the pa...
